About Me
I'm Omar, a systems-focused software engineer graduating from Tec de Monterrey. I am deeply driven by technical curiosity, which has led me to dive into distributed architectures, functional programming, compiler design, the Linux kernel, and low-level engineering. I like understanding exactly how my tools work under the hood and learning from all of them.
Beyond my academic coursework, I am the co-founder of Logias, a micro-SaaS venture. Managing our engineering side has given me hands-on experience designing and operating multi-tenant cloud infrastructure, optimizing compute and AI costs, and deploying highly available services across AWS and Cloudflare ecosystems. As its flagship product I recently designed, built, and maintain DataSfera, an AI-driven business intelligence engine integrated directly with production enterprise ERP systems.
On the academic front, I recently completed the Ceneval ISOFT exam (the national evaluation for higher education institutions in Mexico), ranking 3rd highest in my campus batch with an Outstanding designation. You can view my verified results here.
I built this website to serve as both a project portfolio and a digital notebook. Over the years of experimenting with different technologies, building infrastructure, and writing compilers, I've learned a lot of hard lessons. I want to use my blog to document these engineering processes and architectural insights, hoping it might be a useful resource for others diving into similar domains.

Design Note: This site's aesthetic is heavily inspired by doom-one, my preferred
syntax theme from the Doom Emacs theme megapack.
It's built with Astro and raw CSS, focusing on minimal overhead, fast loading times, and clean typography.
